About 15 years ago we were dialing up on a 28.8 kbps modem via our telephone line. As soon as someone called us, we were disconnected. It took time for the pages to load and videos were not commonly used back then. Facebook, Twitter and Youtube were on the fringes of being created. Yet, regardless of the speed, we were fascinated with the world through the world wide web. Chat rooms emerged and knowledge sharing became common place.
Alot has changed in that time. We now have faster internet access, which continually breaks new speeds, it has become cheaper and affordable, we have services that are internet driven such as online shopping carts and video demand, our technology applications are all catered for the World Wide Web, especially our phones. There is no escaping social media, every mobile services offer social media as a free service, which teenagers crave for.
Not only has the evolution of the internet changed speeds, it has also changed the website appearance. With Google and WC3 setting the industry standards, there is now more focus on delivering websites that follow these guidelines, are user-friendly, informative and these days, enable the user to update his site on a regular basis. The static website is becoming extinct and with the admin areas becoming much more easier to manage, from a design company it makes perfect sense, to give ownership to the client. Our goal is to create the website to the owner’s specification focusing on the layout and requirements. Our developers ensure that the core content of the website is working correctly especially where database and programming is required, such as shopping carts.
